Your tasks and responsibilities will include :
- Supporting the Global Tax Lead, you will steer the optimization, automation, and digitalization of tax (compliance) processes as well as tax accounting & reporting for the entire group.
- Driving the implementation of fully digitalized processes using our ERP as well as available tools and technology (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, Tableau).
- Understanding the business in detail and identifying which stakeholders need to be involved to establish a digitized process and bring it to life.
- Implementing templates and controls across all tax-relevant workstreams (direct & indirect taxes) to roll out to the entire group.
- Supporting and enabling all relevant teams in fulfilling tax documentation, compliance, and reporting obligations.
- Maintaining and further improving the Tax Compliance Management System through identification of measures, implementation of controls, and continuous process optimization.
- Developing and implementing standards in contract templates, standard clauses, and other consistent tax technical terms and provisions.
- Managing large projects end-to-end, including prioritization & process optimization to improve efficiency.
- Setting us up for growth: identifying future-needed tax processes as the company expands and ensuring a company-wide understanding of these processes.
Providing consultation to data teams on designing, developing, and implementing IT-based solutions for the tax department.
What we are looking for :
- A background in commerce, IT, and/or tax with a strong understanding of processes, structures, and technology.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the finance/tax department of an international company or similar field in an international consultancy.
- Good knowledge of German or foreign tax law norms; eagerness to further develop tax technical skills – a Tax advisor qualification would be a plus.
- Strong communication skills, especially with colleagues without a tax background, and determination to implement processes across teams.
- Excellent self-organization, high commitment, and a healthy approach to change and challenges.
- A solution-focused mindset, ownership of actions, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Confidence in handling MS Navision (our ERP system).
Fluency in English is required; German or other languages are a plus.
