As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Quality & Compliance Specialist - Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team

Main Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a Quality & Compliance Specialist to oversee and ensure the compliance of OEM (~80%) and Branded (~20%) products in the Ambient category. This role is crucial in managing OEM projects, ensuring product specification and artwork approvals for Germany, and acting as the key technical liaison for the sales team (OEM and branded products). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety, food law, and regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Process Assurance

• Provide expert support to customers and manage OEM projects.
• Ensure Germany product specification & artwork approvals .
• Act as the technical liaison for the sales team, supporting both OEM and branded products.

product Compliance & External Standards

• Ensure Ambient products comply with food safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards .
• Manage OEM customer policies , ensuring full transcription into specifications, artwork, and plant SOPs .
• Set quality processes and procedures to comply with external food safety and regulatory requirements .
• Regularly update customer policies to ensure alignment with quality standards.

Highest Quality Product Specification & Artwork Approval

• Evaluate customer compliance policies in line with company standards.

Approve technical product specifications based on compliance policies, including recipe thresholds, defects, content, microbiological, and chemical criteria .

• Communicate relevant information for client quotes via web portal or other platforms.
• Maintain and control all relevant documentation on company processes and certifications as required by customer contracts.
• Ensure company accountability is maintained in all artwork approvals.

External Quality Standards Compliance & Managing Changes

• Provide documentation and support to plants during customer audits .
• Assist in customer audits & test plans required by clients.
• Support the Quality Management Team in Germany in handling customer complaints.
• Update product data and manage product changes as requested by customers.

Supporting Market Operations

• Report customer queries in close collaboration with the sales team.
• Adjust product definitions based on customer feedback to improve product consistency and minimize defects.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Product Risk Assessment Lead Time – Time taken to assess and review product development risks.
• On-time Specification & Artwork Approval .
• Timely Completion of Customer Tender Documentation .

Candidate Profile

Proficiency in Quality principles for Ambient production.

Strong knowledge of quality standards, European / local regulations, and compliance requirements .

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to conduct root cause analysis for quality issues.

Deep expertise in global quality and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, IFS, BRC, FDA, FAO, HACCP, GMP, MSC).

Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and manage cross-functional processes effectively.
