Exclusive opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager, based in Cologne, Germany, to join a global insurance firm on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering the marketing strategy for a growing business, enhancing brand awareness and differentiation in a competitive market.
The position leads marketing services to support business objectives while also contributing to the international marketing team.
Roles & responsibilities:
Develop and implement a marketing and communications plan aligned with business goals, ensuring consistency with global brand guidelines and strategies.
Communicate marketing plans and strategies effectively to senior executives, regional and product leaders, and the Head of Marketing.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business priorities, market trends, and client needs, acting as the key marketing expert.
Establish a governance process to keep senior leaders informed of marketing activities and progress.
Develop a clear and compelling marketing proposition with strong messaging and supporting tools, collaborating with underwriting, claims, and other teams.
Lead global marketing activities, including advertising, social media, and events, ensuring stakeholder alignment and collaboration.
Work with the digital team to track and analyse campaign performance, using data to drive improvements.
Use market insights and trends to shape effective marketing strategies.
Collaborate with internal marketing teams, including PR, digital marketing, brand, and communications specialists, ensuring successful execution of campaigns.
Manage budgets for individual projects and events.
Skills & experience:
Strong marketing experience, ideally in financial services or insurance.
Proven ability to develop marketing strategies and campaigns.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Experience building relationships with internal teams, agencies, and external partners.
Degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
Commercial awareness and strategic mindset.
Occasional travel within Europe required.
Written and verbal fluency in English and German essential.
