Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Security Monitoring Engineer to join our team in Munich. The successful candidate will support the Security Monitoring Manager and participate in the management of Galileo’s SECMON processes, ensuring security monitoring and control activities are effectively carried out.

  1. Support the activities of the SPO Technical Team in the Security domain.
  2. Participate in the management and execution of Galileo’s SECMON processes, including security monitoring and control activities.
  3. Verify and control activities carried out by local teams involved in SECMON activities from a regulatory and programmatic perspective.
  4. Interact with EUSPA representatives and contribute to reports and coordination activities.
  5. Assist in verifying operational products and procedures, including system validation or simulation activities.
  6. Contribute to the development and refinement of analysis processes and investigation methodologies for security events.
  7. Verify supporting infrastructures, analyze capacities, and suggest improvements.
  8. Participate in lessons learned processes, anomalies analysis, and operational planning.
Candidate Profile:
  • Experience in security activities, ideally in Space, Defence programs, or high-security commercial sectors such as Finance.
  • Experience with the Galileo program, including knowledge of its accreditation processes.
  • Deep understanding of security accreditation methodologies at national and international levels.
  • Knowledge of security risk assessment and management.
  • Experience reviewing security documentation and conducting security inspections.
  • Knowledge of cyber-protection technologies for critical IT infrastructures.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in Italian, German, or Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong teamwork skills and resource leveraging ability.
  • Proficient in standard office tools (word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet).
