Recreation Assistant (Programs)

This position is located at the Arts & Crafts Center.

Incumbent may work Monday - Saturday during the day.

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
• This position requires the incumbent to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

• Experience with routines and procedures followed in group activities and/or programs.
• Practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, rules and procedures in an Arts & Crafts recreation program.
• Direct cash handling and use of cash accountability control methods.
• General clerical work and office automation programs.
• Must possess skills in dealing with the public.
