Job Description: Global Head of QMS

This role requires 50% travel across Europe.

Fraser Dove International is partnering exclusively with a global pharmaceutical organisation. Operating across multiple international locations, they are committed to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical manufacturing and development services.

Our client is seeking a visionary leader to oversee and enhance the Corporate Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence across all sites.

Your objectives:

As the Global Head of QMS, you will be measured against the following objectives:

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Corporate QMS across multiple sites.
• Drive compliance and mitigate regulatory risks by implementing effective quality assurance strategies.
• Foster best practices and standardisation across the global network to enhance efficiency and quality performance.

What you will do:

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Participate in the development of corporate strategy, providing expert guidance on quality management.
• Anticipate and mitigate regulatory and compliance risks across sites.
• Ensure successful execution of the Quality Roadmap and achievement of defined objectives.
• Drive compliance and operational efficiency improvements within the organisation.
• Capture and implement best practices to standardise process improvements across all sites.
• Develop and oversee annual quality assurance assessments and ensure successful implementation.
• Lead compliance risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Guide and support escalation management processes.
• Report on quality performance and compliance metrics across sites.
• Define and oversee the corporate QMS, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert advice to senior leadership and site teams on quality-related initiatives.
• Lead and mentor teams, building capabilities and fostering professional development.
• Represent the organisation in industry and professional forums to promote best practices and enhance corporate reputation.

What you will bring:

These are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Global Head of QMS:

• 10–15 years of experience in quality management within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong ability to interpret strategy and policy to deliver medium- to long-term objectives.
• Proven leadership experience in a multi-site, global environment.
• Expertise in regulatory compliance and risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in managing complex quality challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
