The Bruker Nano Analytics (BNA) Division, headquartered at Bruker Nano GmbH in Berlin, Germany, develops, manufactures and markets X-ray systems and components for elemental and structural analysis starting from the meso- over on the micro- and to the nano-scale.

Currently, we are looking for an Applications Specialist (m/f/d) to join our team in Berlin, mainly supporting our portable X-ray fluorescence product line.

If you enjoy the challenge of instrumental analysis, want to use and improve state-of-the-art XRF machines, test instruments and techniques on customer questions, develop new analytical applications, teach customers about this technology, and are willing to travel, then you could become part of our Berlin Applications Team.

Main responsibilities include:

1. Improving current XMP products and applications
2. Developing new XMP applications
3. Supporting product management and R&D during new product development, prototypes, and software testing
4. Documenting and training sales partners to ensure understanding of instruments from operation and performance perspectives
5. Supporting product management in developing performance strategies for production
6. Supporting service strategies for improved serviceability
7. Preparing and analyzing customer samples
8. Creating lab reports and application notes
9. Demonstrating instruments and software to potential customers
10. Representing BNA at trade shows, webinars, and online events
11. Generating content for manuals, sales materials, and social media
12. Creating scientific posters and presentations
13. Planning and executing advanced user training
14. Updating training materials
15. Providing operational and technical support for the product line

Qualifications:

1. Master's Degree or PhD in Engineering, Geology, Physics, or Material Science
2. Solid knowledge of X-ray spectroscopy, especially P-XRF and micro-XRF, is required
3. Strong communication skills and stakeholder interaction abilities
4. Positive attitude with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
5. Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%
6. Knowledge of related methods (Raman, NIR, XRD) is a plus
7. Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
