Sales Engineer Distribution Channel (m/w/d)

Our partner company Emerson has a history of 133 years of innovation and transformation, evolving from a regional manufacturer of electric motors and fans to a global leader in technology solutions, software, and engineering.

We are looking for a dedicated Sales Engineer Distribution Channel (m/f/d) to join our partner's team.

In this role, you will manage relationships with distributors and resellers across EMEA, serve as the primary contact for new requests and projects, and drive initiatives to grow the business in your assigned country. You will also support partners with technical inquiries and training across the full product portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting existing business partners (distributors and resellers) and developing new customers through regular visits (10-20% travel)
  • Maintaining the CRM system and reporting on incoming orders
  • Analyzing market trends, competition, and customer needs to develop strategic sales initiatives
  • Promoting key initiatives and following up with sales partners
  • Developing solutions and production concepts in collaboration with partners and internal departments
  • Collaborating with development teams on new and ongoing product developments
  • Serving as the contact for business partners regarding welding technologies
  • Processing customer specifications, creating project requests, and preparing and negotiating offers
  • Ensuring smooth project execution with technical departments
  • Supporting trade fairs and conducting training sessions
  • Screening customers for trade compliance, including embargo considerations
What will lead you to success in this position:
  • A degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering and/or plastics technology
  • 2-3 years of successful sales experience with capital goods, ideally with distributors and resellers
  • Strong understanding of complex technical contexts
  • Proficiency in English is required for our European and global activities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Result-oriented, independent, and structured work approach
  • High sense of personal responsibility and willingness to travel
  • Confident use of Office tools, viewer software (SpinFire), and CRM systems
