We are seeking a Strategic Account Executive (f/m/d) to collaborate with cross-functional teams to win SaaS business, helping some of the largest pharmaceutical and CRO/CDMO organizations globally, accelerating their milestones across the biopharma lifecycle from research to manufacturing.

This remote position is based in Europe and requires easy access and frequent travel to target accounts and customers in North America and EMEA, as well as visits to the IDBS offices in Boston (USA) and Woking (UK).

Responsibilities include:

  1. Forging executive relationships and delivering growth in key customers and targets, with world-class commercial planning and execution aligned to company strategy.
  2. Driving in-person engagement with key stakeholders within existing and target accounts, building relationships, and influencing strategy for short- and long-term growth.
  3. Leading cross-functional teams to win and expand customer accounts, owning the account strategy, and driving execution through SFDC.
  4. Driving new logo acquisition and ARR expansion in targeted top-tier accounts, delivering accurate forecasts and on-time delivery of new business bookings.

Success in this role includes:

  1. A proven track record of closing new enterprise SaaS deals (>1M ARR).
  2. Typically 8+ years of senior sales experience with the ability to create opportunities in complex sales cycles (12–18 months).
  3. Engaging C-Suite decision makers to close multi-million-dollar SaaS deals and influence customer strategy.
  4. Achieving and exceeding SaaS sales targets across new logos and cross-sell/up-sell opportunities, with the ability to deliver short-term results and develop mid-long-term strategic plans.
  5. A good understanding of challenges and opportunities across R&D or manufacturing within the BioPharma and CDMO markets.

Preferred additional experience:

  • Pharmaceutical and life sciences sales experience.
  • Using Challenger sales methodology to grow large strategic accounts.
  • Scientific or scientific sales background in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or Process Engineering.
