Qualifikationen

About the job

You will have the unique opportunity to be part of Verve’s growth trajectory by ensuring that quality revenue financial operations are created to drive business operations. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will work closely with other finance and non-finance team members. You will participate in implementing accounting processes and controls to enhance revenue accounting & reporting. The ideal candidate aspires to grow with Verve and is willing to support all business areas whenever needed.

What You Will Do
  1. Manage all matters related to revenue accounting including reviewing & clarifying financial terms in revenue contracts, enforcing adherence to revenue recognition policies, and customer receivable reconciliation.
  2. Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to revenue billing and reporting, including JE preparation, reconciliation, review of revenue accounts, and customer-level reviews for all Verve entities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  3. Collaborate with legal to ensure a robust and audit-proof contract management system, including active tracking of contracts and amendments for all customers.
  4. Develop and maintain a tracker for non-standard financial terms in contracts, ensuring accurate calculation and recording of rebates, revenue shares, and discounts in financial statements.
  5. Streamline revenue reports by engaging with data, sales, and controlling teams to align BI reports and accounting figures.
  6. Develop and document business processes and revenue accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  7. Lead cash collection processes and initiatives within Verve, maintaining healthy accounts receivable thresholds and building relationships with General Managers of different units.
  8. Continuously seek to simplify and automate revenue accounting processes.
  9. Manage, develop, and grow a team of 4 Finance Operations Accountants.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, preferably at hyper-growth companies.
  • Leadership experience of 2-3 years managing a finance team.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with Netsuite or other major ERP systems.
  • Expertise in revenue accounting practices, implementations, and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of SQL, Python, and automation of reports.
