Job Description:

As a Flight Test Engineer, you will be part of our System Testing and Prototyping team and play a key role in testing and improving drones and systems in collaboration with development. With our world-class team of 8 members, you will help push the boundaries of drone technology.

You will work closely with software and hardware development teams to ensure our drones are delivered to customers free of defects. Motivated by testing products to their limits, you will support Quantum Systems in becoming a leader in aerial data collection solutions with unmanned aerial systems (sUAV).

What is your Day-to-Day Mission:

• Plan and execute flight tests to evaluate UAV performance and functionality
• Conduct pre-flight inspections and ensure all equipment functions correctly
• Address error tickets to maintain high quality assurance standards
• Analyze flight data and prepare detailed reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
• Stay informed about industry trends and UAV technology advancements

What you bring to the team:

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
• Professional experience in drone function assurance and/or operation
• Knowledge in surveying drones, photogrammetry, and lidar data evaluation is advantageous
• Good handling of drones or experience in functional safety
• Interest in drones, model aircraft construction, robotics, or flying objects
• Proficiency with flight test equipment and software
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Open, communicative, friendly, and competent manner, seen as an internal expert
