We are looking for a Junior Video Editor (All genders welcome!) to join our team in Munich!

Junior Video Editors support the entire post-production process by reviewing media after production. They mainly work on social-first formats for various editorial social teams, ensuring output meets requirements. Key tasks include translating videos from English to German and adding subtitles. The role requires quick thinking, problem-solving skills, teamwork, meticulousness, and organization. Junior Video Editors collaborate with internal and external editors, the CNE Social Media and production teams, and report to the Head of Video in Munich.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Edit social-first video formats for various social teams, ensuring content aligns with brand and audience expectations.
• Translate English videos into German with accurate subtitles, maintaining cultural and linguistic nuances.
• Organize media assets from Production & Social teams, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
• Import and prepare project assets in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and other software.
• Assemble rough cuts, apply basic color correction, and adjust audio levels.
• Implement feedback to refine edits and improve storytelling.
• Perform quality control to ensure videos meet platform specifications.
• Export and deliver final videos in various formats for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.
• Maintain project organization using proper naming conventions and folder structures.
• Assist with sourcing additional assets and integrating them into edits.
• Stay updated on social media video trends and suggest creative improvements.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of post-production experience, preferably with digital content.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, and media management tools.
• Strong attention to detail and media organization skills.
• Deep understanding of media codecs, color spaces, compression, and finishing processes.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of broadcast and digital video/audio formats.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, solving problems proactively.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in German and English.
• Good communication skills and flexibility with other departments.
