Job Description

As Legal Counsel within Omio’s Legal Team, you will be responsible for a broad range of commercial legal work, collaborating with various teams across the company. You will also handle corporate matters such as the incorporation of new group companies to support international expansion, as well as transactions like financing rounds and acquisitions.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

1. Negotiate contracts with transport service providers and key suppliers in collaboration with Omio’s commercial teams.
2. Assist the finance and tax teams with group expansion and the creation of new companies.
3. Advise on data privacy issues across the group, liaising with the Data Protection Officer (DPO), and develop GDPR compliance strategies.
4. Deliver training sessions on contract law and intellectual property issues to staff.
5. Support corporate documentation and company secretarial duties for group entities.
6. Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes, advising the business on their implications.
7. Manage disputes and litigation, coordinating with external legal counsel when necessary.

Qualifications:

• EU (preferably German) qualified lawyer with at least two years of relevant experience, including in-house legal work.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in German is highly desirable. Additional languages are a plus.

Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, be confident in providing legal advice to colleagues at all levels, and have excellent legal drafting abilities. An international outlook and willingness to work across different jurisdictions are essential.
