Role

Being part of the BMS applications engineering team offers an exciting opportunity to bring state-of-the-art battery monitoring, wireless communication, and control systems to market in electric vehicles and other energy storage systems worldwide. A BMS system solution comprises ADI integrated circuits, system hardware, software, algorithms, RF networking, security, and functional safety. ASIC application engineers work on both hardware and software product development and collaborate closely with customer applications, offering significant growth opportunities in technical and business areas. Those who enjoy complex systems, working closely with customers, and have broad interests may find application engineering particularly rewarding.

Job Activities

• Understand complex Automotive OEM and Tier1 application ecosystems and support the integration of ADI systems, hardware, and software products for our global customers.
• Collaborate with other teams to understand customer needs and drive new product requirements.
• Write application guides or articles to share knowledge.
• Develop proof-of-concept demos, system prototypes, and software tools (e.g., GUIs) for software integration and evaluation of BMS products in customer systems.
• Design, develop, and debug automotive embedded software and ADI BMS system software solutions.
• Create hardware reference designs, demonstrations, and application notes for customers.

Candidate Attributes

• BSc or MSc in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• At least 4+ years of relevant experience.
• A passion for learning and problem-solving.
• Enthusiasm for helping customers and colleagues.
• Knowledge in areas such as automotive or industrial system design, battery chemistries, functional safety standards, communication protocols, system modeling, and RF technology will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
