Tasks

As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading key financial functions and ensuring operational excellence across the organization. Your main tasks will include:

• Managing all financial operations, including tracking expenses, overseeing salaries, and ensuring accurate budget control.
• Developing and maintaining financial models to track portfolio performance.
• Supporting startup founders in raising capital and managing their next financing rounds.
• Collaborating with the investment team on reporting requirements and data management.
• Handling investment transactions and managing related documentation and reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, including reporting standards and governance.
• Monitoring the financial performance of portfolio companies.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience in a similar role overseeing finance and accounting.
• Proficient in analytical and financial modeling and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with German/European legal and regulatory requirements, particularly in venture capital or startup contexts.
• High attention to detail in managing financial operations and documentation.
• Fluent in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About the Role

As a Finance Manager at EWOR, you will work closely with the Investment team and report directly to Florian Huber, one of the Co-Founders. You will oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to managing our portfolio of 100 tech companies across Europe and the US.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of finance and legal frameworks, focusing on managing finances, tracking portfolio performance, and executing investments.

• Starting Date: May 2025
• Location: Hybrid model in our Berlin office (city center), with flexibility for two remote days per week.
• Language Requirements: Proficiency in English and German (written and spoken).
