(Senior) Accountant (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities:

1. Drive forward the management, optimization, and ongoing digitalization of the financial accounting and budgeting processes in our HSH Chemie Holding.
2. Prepare regular financial statements for the holding as well as consolidated group financial statements, in compliance with HGB.
3. Create accruals, solve complex accounting issues, and align accounting-related topics and processes with our subsidiaries.
4. Act as a sparring partner for our Group Chief Accountant, supporting her in strategically developing our group-wide finance operations and team.
5. Contribute to the development, conduction, and optimization of our group-wide financial reporting and analysis.
6. Collaborate with IT, group-wide finance teams, and external vendors to implement, optimize, and digitalize our ERP system, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
7. Participate in additional projects and tasks, such as acting as a delegate for our bookkeepers in Hamburg during absences.

Your profile:

1. Successfully completed studies or further education focusing on accounting (e.g., as a tax clerk or financial accountant), with extensive professional experience in (international) accounting or as a group accountant.
2. Profound knowledge of financial accounting standards (HGB).
3. Experience in budgeting and financial reporting, with some development experience preferred.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
5. Proficiency in MS Office tools (especially Excel) and ERP systems (e.g., MS Navision or Microsoft Dynamics), with enthusiasm for digital improvements.
6. Self-motivated, well-organized, and reliable work approach.
7. Professional-level fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
