Your responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of 11 computational biologists, biomathematicians, physicists, and medicinal chemists, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Identify and explore large-scale omics data to uncover scientific insights such as disease understanding, targets, and biomarkers.
- Design and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and workflows.
- Ensure data analysis standards, data integrity, and reproducibility, adhering to regulatory and industry standards.
- Apply advanced statistical and AI methods to model biological systems and predict therapeutic outcomes.
- Integrate bioinformatics workflows with clinical and research pipelines, collaborating with IT and data science teams.
- Support partnerships with clinics, academic institutions, and pharma collaborators to innovate in oncology bioinformatics.
- Stay updated on the latest in bioinformatics and related fields, applying new approaches to R&D.
- Communicate complex findings to diverse audiences through presentations, reports, and publications.
- Contribute to strategic planning and R&D objectives.
Our requirements:
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Mathematics, or related field, with oncology experience.
- 5+ years leadership experience in oncology bioinformatics or computational biology.
- Expertise in computational target identification and biomarker discovery.
- Experience with large-scale omics data analysis and bioinformatics tools.
- Strong background in machine learning, algorithms, and multi-omics data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or Perl, and bioinformatics platforms.
- Knowledge of statistical and machine learning methods for biological data.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and clinical bioinformatics validation.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Passion for scientific discovery and advancing oncology therapeutics.
