We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operations Manager Northern Europe based in Germany.

In this role, the successful candidate will manage warehouse operations and logistics providers in Northern Europe, overseeing costs, sharing best practices, and maintaining standardization in warehouse operations. They will drive operational execution through collaboration with transportation, COM&LS, and customer logistics teams, acting as the key contact for Warehousing to the Logistics & Distribution Manager and Mill Managers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Define and execute Warehouse strategy for Northern Europe (Benelux + DACH), meeting OTIF, Cost/m3, safety, quality, and compliance targets.
• Drive warehousing efficiencies—own warehouse KPIs: Cost, activity, productivity, including RFT.
• Optimize distribution cost/m3 through cost transformation and storage management.
• Coordinate Month-End operational activities for excellence in collaboration with Transport, Customer Logistics, and 3PL.
• Manage 3PL performance via meetings, KPIs, and improvement plans; support Ecommerce and Innovation managers.
• Champion safety initiatives in logistics operations with 3PLs and the EMEA Safety Team.
• Oversee DC Maintenance & Investment plans, ensuring logistics needs are met within capital and maintenance budgets.
• Handle Quality matters: audits, product recalls, and customer/business quality issues.
• Manage storage capacity and stock accuracy, including physical counts.

• Deep understanding of logistics and global supply chain management, with experience managing warehouse operations and complex 3PL contracts.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Resilient team player with goal orientation and independence.
• Passionate about operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and process standardization.
• Proven project management skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, SAP, and BW.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are highly preferred.
