Jobbeschreibung

As a technical writer, you will write and maintain documentation and procedures and assist in building new and innovative ways of providing customer-facing documentation for our Utimaco products.

Responsibilities:

1. Writing clear and precise customer documentation for hardware and software products in German and English, taking into account company standards and legal requirements;
2. Analyzing user needs to ensure our documentation provides the correct information for successful product installation and operation;
3. Continuously improving customer documentation so that they are up-to-date, correct, consistent, and complete;
4. Working closely with development engineers, certification experts, product managers, and quality management to collect and document complete information;
5. Managing, writing, and maintaining documentation of Utimaco’s business processes and guidelines, including R&D processes and manufacturing processes, mainly in English;
6. Innovating on and training to use new technical writing tools as required;
7. Being experienced in writing technical product installation and operational documents based on requirements;
8. Researching and negotiating document requirements;
9. Having solid proofreading skills;
10. Creating and delivering against set goals;
11. Providing a high standard of written German and English;
12. Thriving in cross-organizational collaboration with excellent listening and communication skills;
13. Exhibiting excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills in English and German.

1. A degree in English, communications, Technical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
