Energy Markets Product Specialist (f/m/d)

Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate end-to-end product development for new propositions (e.g., smart-meter tariffs, flexibility products) focusing on energy market topics relevant to Germany.
  2. Perform commercial analyses considering market price drivers, risk/reward, regulatory environment, and strategic perspectives.
  3. Advise product owners with expertise in energy markets, including risk management and monetization of value propositions in wholesale markets.
  4. Support prioritization of value propositions based on a comprehensive commercial perspective in Germany.
  5. Foster strong collaboration among regional energy market functions within national and regional brands in Germany and the E.ON Energy Markets unit.
  6. Manage interfaces between German E.ON internal retail entities and energy market functions.
  7. Ensure conformity of future retail products with existing IT systems and related processes within energy markets.
Requirements and Capabilities
  1. Degree in Energy Economics, Business Studies with expertise in Energy Markets, or related fields.
  2. Several years of experience and in-depth knowledge of core energy market functions such as risk management (hedging), forecasting, trading, optimization, certificates, and their financial impacts.
  3. Strong understanding of the end-to-end value chain for existing and future products, focusing on energy market aspects including regulatory topics.
  4. Entrepreneurial and commercial mindset to facilitate prioritization.
  5. Proficiency in data analysis tools like Python, SQL, or similar.
  6. Project management experience.
  7. Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working with cross-functional teams.
  8. Excellent communication skills and experience in interface management.
  9. Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
  10. High sense of ownership, responsibility, and drive to deliver results.
