ABOUT THIS ROLE

In this role, you will build scalable solutions and models to support our business functions (Content, Marketing, Product). Leveraging methods like machine learning and simulation, you will explain, quantify, predict, and prescribe to inform critical business decisions. You will translate business goals into agile, insightful analytics, creating value for stakeholders and customers, and communicating findings clearly to managers and senior leaders.

This position is for a 24-month contract.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Audible's Data Science team partners with marketing, content, product, and technology teams to solve business and technical problems using scientific approaches. We employ scalable Data Science, machine learning, deep learning, and Natural Language Processing to better target customers, personalize content, and optimize the listening experience. We operate in an agile environment, managing the research, design, and development of relevant projects.

As a Data Scientist, you will:

1. Develop and validate models to optimize customer interactions.
2. Develop Audible-wide data engineering pipelines.
3. Innovate proactively and create groundbreaking applications using cutting-edge approaches.
4. Utilize causal inference and develop compelling data visualizations.
5. Collaborate with data scientists, ML experts, engineers, and other scientists within Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) or statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab).
• Experience with machine learning/statistical modeling and data analysis tools and techniques.
• MS degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Operational Research, or related field.
• Experience in modeling and research design.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in Python, Perl, or other scripting languages.
• Experience in a ML or data scientist role within a large technology company.
