Since our first crewed electric multicopter flight in 2011, we have conducted over 2,000 test flights globally.

Job Description

Your team:

You will join a highly experienced and motivated mechanical engineering team dedicated to creating innovative solutions for complex challenges. Our team includes engineers, technicians, and support staff committed to excellence and project success.

Your role:

As Senior Mechanical Engineer - Propulsion, you will oversee all structural aspects of the propulsion unit, including design, testing, and compliance. Responsibilities include defining test strategies, selecting test setups, preparing plans and reports, and conducting analyses such as fatigue, damage tolerance, and static strength assessments.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• At least 4 years of experience in mechanical design, structural analysis, and validation of composite and metallic structures
• Experience with FEM simulation tools and hand calculations
• Experience in aerospace structure certification, especially in propulsion units
• Familiarity with PLM software, preferably Siemens Teamcenter
• Knowledge of static, fatigue, thermal, and vibration analysis
• Hands-on experience with test activities and documentation
• Motivated, proactive, autonomous, and self-reliant attitude
• Fluent in English; German or other languages beneficial
• Experience with aerospace standards (CS23/CS27/SC-VTOL/DO-160G/EHPS)
• Proficiency with HyperMesh, Nastran, OptiStruct, and basic CAD skills (Siemens NX)
• Experience with software project management tools like Jira
