(Senior) Accountant (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities:

• In this role, you drive forward the management, optimization and ongoing digitalization of the financial accounting and budgeting processes in our HSH Chemie Holding
• This includes the regular preparation of financial statements for the holding as well as consolidated group financial statements, in compliance with HGB
• Therefore, you create accruals, solve complex accounting issues and align accounting-related topics as well as processes with our subsidiaries
• You are acting as a sparring partner for our Group Chief Accountant supporting her in strategically developing our group-wide finance operations and team
• Additionally, you contribute to the development, conduction and optimization of our groupwide financial reporting and analysis
• Furthermore, you collaborate with our IT, group-wide finance teams as well as external vendors to implement our new ERP system, optimize it and digitalize accounting processes ensuring efficiency and compliance
• Participation in further projects and tasks, like being a delegate for our bookkeepers in Hamburg during absences

Your profile:

• After successfully finishing your studies or further education with a focus on accounting (e.g., as a tax clerk or financial accountant), you gained extensive professional experience in (international) accounting (e.g., general ledger accounting, year end closing, reporting) or as a group accountant
• Thereby, you developed a profound knowledge of financial accounting standards (HGB)
• Additionally, you are experienced in budgeting as well as in the conduction of financial reporting, ideally you also developed one
• Your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with your attention to details benefit your start in our team
• Furthermore, your proficiency in MS Office tools (especially Excel) and ERP systems (e.g., MS Navision or Microsoft Dynamics) as well as your enthusiasm for driving digital improvements make you a great fit for our team
• Your self-motivated, well-organized, and reliable approach to work sets you apart
• In addition, your professional-level fluency in German and English, in both written and spoken, is the perfect complement to your skill set
