Job Description:
For our client in the aerospace industry, we are looking for motivated candidates for the location Bremen, Germany, for the following position with immediate effect and within the framework of temporary employment:
Your responsibilities:
- Provide Crew Systems engineering expertise and support to the design and development of the Starlab space segment in an integrated and collaborative fashion, supporting design, development, and preparation of deliverables.
- Contribute to Starlab Mission ConOps and OpsCon definition and refinement.
- Analyze, assess, and make recommendations regarding Starlab Crew Systems design and development, focusing on:
- General Habitability
- Crew Quarters / Sleep Stations
- Hygiene Provisions
- Food Prep and Galley Housekeeping
- Restraints and Mobility Aids
- Maintenance Work Provisions
- Define Crew Systems functional, interface, and performance requirements and flow down into related subsystem specifications.
- Collaborate closely with other Starlab teams: Crew Health and Medical System (HMS), S&MA, SE&I, Robotics, Flight Crew, Ground Support, and Mission Operations teams.
- Perform tailoring and tracking of Crew Systems requirements.
- Support the definition and development of low-, medium-, and high-fidelity mock-up concepts and requirements.
- Support Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) test activities.
- Participate in the HSI Working Group.
- Contribute to RFIs/RFPs.
- Participate in program reviews.
- Perform other duties as required and agreed.

Qualifications:
- Degree in aerospace, electrical/mechanical engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
Professional Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in spacecraft operations/engineering, preferably with a focus on human spaceflight, Human Systems Integration, or Human Factors Engineering.
Language Skills:
- Business fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
Other Qualifications:
- Knowledge of spacecraft systems and subsystems architectures and mission support concepts.
- Experience with Human-in-the-Loop testing.
- Ability to define and support programmatic aspects like schedules and risks.
- Ability to generate and review technical documentation (SPECs, IRD/ICD).
- Experience with Systems Engineering processes and tools (e.g., MBSE, CAMEO, DOORS, JAMA).
- Basic knowledge of CAD.
- Ability to support hardware and software integration and testing activities.
