ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are searching for a PLC Electrical Engineer to be responsible for designing, communicating, and implementing plans for engineering projects across EMEA. In this role, you will develop projects from conception to supervising and coordinating activities. The role can be based near any of our facilities across EMEA.

TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Designs, communicates, and implements plans for engineering projects. Evaluates current processes and identifies constraints and potential design optimization opportunities to enhance productivity, cost efficiency, reliability, and safety.
2. Partners with consultants and internal engineering colleagues to prepare project drawings and specifications for engineering projects.
3. Interfaces and coordinates with outside contractors, tracks proposals, and manages project expenditures.
4. Performs cost analyses, calculates estimated project costs, and prepares and implements a budget based on estimates. Develops detailed equipment layouts, benefit analyses, and project schedules.
5. Applies expertise to analyze and solve complex problems where precedent may not exist.
6. Monitors progress and performance against the project plan.
7. Often leads the work of small project teams and may formally train junior engineering colleagues.
8. Incorporates safety measures within design specifications, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promotes safety practices and habits.
9. May contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Broad knowledge of engineering including new product development, mechanical engineering, electrical systems, and lean manufacturing concepts.
• Strong project management and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team.
• Can manage multiple assignments.
• Proficiency in engineering relevant software such as CAD.
• PMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certifications a plus.
