We are seeking a Junior Backend Software Developer (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible. We have almost everything — except hermits! What You Do

1. Backend Development: As a Junior Backend Developer (m/f/d), you love the architecture behind the scenes and develop applications in a microservice environment using Java, MongoDB, Spring Boot. (Click here for our backend stack: https://stackshare.io/marcapo-gmbh/backend)
2. Feature Integration: Be actively involved in developing new solutions in our marketing portals, such as integrating Google Ads or mailing modules, and bringing existing technical features together with our complex marcapo technology.
3. Code Ownership: Want to go deeper? Take ownership of your own projects, become a professional in your field, and actively shape our software.
4. Modifications: Analyze and implement optimizations of the marcapo marketing platforms, handle maintenance, and contribute to further development.
5. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with your team, including frontend and backend developers, product owners, and product managers, on current projects.
6. Agile Work: Participate in project phases lasting several weeks, working with your team on current projects, with short Kanban phases between projects.

What We Want From You

1. Education: A degree in computer science/business informatics, a completed apprenticeship in application development, or professional experience in Java backend development.
2. Backend Skills: Java, Spring, MongoDB, and good knowledge of developing REST APIs.
3. Personal Skills: Quality awareness, motivation, communication, teamwork skills, and a willingness to grow and develop.
4. Language Skills: Very good written and spoken German and English (at least B2 level).
5. Enthusiasm for Innovation: Enthusiastic about current developments in AI, keeping up with new technologies, and ideally, practical experience applying AI technologies for software development optimization and automation.
6. On-site Development: This activity can be performed up to 80% from home after familiarization. Opportunities to work remotely throughout Germany with two to three team days per month at a marcapo location (Ebern/Bamberg).
