Job Description:
- Your role: Contribute during the early development phase to design gas and fluid dynamic architectures for mechatronic and optical components, considering performance, timing, and costs.
- Develop models and methods for simulating gas and liquid flows used in cooling and rinsing microlithography equipment.
- As a system engineer, develop concepts and verify them through flow simulations (1D/3D), and define tests for design verification and model validation.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including internal and external developers, service providers, and suppliers.
- Develop and coordinate requirements in close contact with stakeholders and prepare development documents.
- Ensure design verification, manufacturing, and integration capability as part of industrialization, along with risk management.
- Represent your assigned topics within a mechatronics team to development projects and customers. Engage in a development network with customers, external partners, and research institutions.
Your profile:
- A very good university degree in aerospace engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or physics, with professional experience in industry and science.
- Deep knowledge of turbulent flow theory and numerical modeling of turbulent sub- and supersonic flows (RANS, LES, hybrid methods).
- Experience in simulating multiphase and reactive high- and low-pressure flows (Kn> 1).
- Experience in determining aeroacoustic source fields and calculating sound propagation in fluids (CFD/FEM/CAA), including acoustic interaction with solids (FSI).
- Several years of programming experience and application of CFD, FE, CAA, DSMC.
- An independent, systematic work ethic, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Enjoy working as part of an interdisciplinary team in a highly dynamic environment.
- Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills for tasks and results.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and German.
