Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.

We are seeking a remote Associate Director, Sustainability Marketing & Capability Building to develop our sustainability strategies at the site, product, and divisional levels. 2. Collaborate with our center of applied sustainability to translate Lonza CHI’s sustainability strategic roadmap into clear commercial value propositions.
  3. Engage with customers: work closely with sales, supply chain, and product management to communicate our sustainability efforts and foster partnerships.
  4. Support understanding customer sustainability needs and translate these into product requirements and value propositions.
  5. Lead and facilitate customer workshops or audits on sustainability topics.
  6. Stay ahead of pharma and Health & Nutrition market trends in sustainability through research, conference participation, and report preparation.
  7. Respond to sustainability requests from the market and customers, collaborating with the CHI center of applied sustainability.
  8. Contribute to assessments of life cycle initiatives (e.g., emission reduction, water consumption) across CHI.
Capability Building
  1. Develop, implement, and train on engagement strategies in collaboration with CHI Internal Communication and HR.
  2. Create and roll out training content and impact-driven programs to enhance organizational climate literacy.
  3. Expand sustainability knowledge among CHI employees globally and locally.
  4. Drive customer engagement initiatives to promote sustainability actions.
  5. Champion sustainability internally and externally, raising awareness among employees, customers, advocacy groups, and industry partners.
Key Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree or equivalent in sustainability or business administration.

  3. Willingness and ability to travel regularly to CHI sites and global conferences.
  4. Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
