Abbott Medical GmbH, our German affiliate for our Medical Devices business, is looking for a
Leadless Clinical Specialist (m/f/d) Cardiac Rhythm Management
based in Germany.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As Leadless Clinical Specialist, you will be the leadless product and therapy expert in the field. You will provide procedural, technical, clinical, educational, and sales leadership to ensure safe adoption and growth of Abbott leadless technology. You will work closely with internal and external customers to drive therapy adoption and procedural success.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide primary case support for initial leadless implants according to instructions for use, leveraging deep knowledge of best practices, clinical data, and technical expertise.
- Partner with local sales teams to ensure safe expansion of leadless therapy within local accounts and transfer of technical expertise to the commercial team.
- Support regional (EMEA) physician training programs, facilitating hands-on training in partnership with the EMEA Leadless education team.
- Develop trusting relationships with physician implanters based on technical and clinical expertise.
- Oversee local education and training activities, including coordination, setup, and content delivery. Facilitate simulated procedures, troubleshooting, and instruction for hospital staff, physicians, and clinic personnel.
- Participate actively in local Abbott personnel certification on AVEIR technology as per EMEA guidelines.
- Complete administrative tasks such as case tracking and monitoring physician progress through training.
- Provide feedback to internal stakeholders to improve customer experiences.
EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, engineering, or related experience.
- 3–5 years of clinical medical device experience, ideally with Cardiac Rhythm Management products.
- Comfort navigating medical environments, including labs and hospitals.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate complex devices.
- Proven success in leading and influencing customers, providing guidance as needed.
- Experience with medical device simulators (Mentice, CAE healthcare), professional training/certification, sales experience, or business acumen is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German & English.
- Willingness to travel extensively (80%) within Germany and EMEA region.
