COMPANY OVERVIEW
A family-run Japanese company with more than 200 years of history is looking for a Sales Executive (Germany market) (m/f/d). It has two divisions: Food for human consumption and pet food. The company became the top brand of pet food in Japan and is expanding internationally to make pets and their owners around the world happy.

OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE

  • The main objective is to maintain and build long-term relationships with stores in the region and ensure quality consistency across locations.
  • Coordinate marketing activities, research, and brand management. Responsibilities include:
  • Planning and implementing brand and communication strategies;
  • Overseeing communication and brand materials;
  • Supervising and evaluating team performance;
  • Hands-on involvement in brand and communication tasks as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report to HQ and European Sales Director; assist in team activities including sales reporting, market research, and meetings;
  • Participate in industry expositions;
  • Develop long-term brand and marketing plans;
  • Coordinate with headquarters on marketing execution;
  • Maintain accurate sales records and reports;
  • Evaluate market and consumer trends;
  • Enhance customer service standards;
  • Provide staff training and development;
  • Communicate regularly with clients;
  • Ensure regional quality consistency;
  • Maximize sales and profitability;
  • Set and achieve sales targets.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong work ethic, high energy, interpersonal skills, motivation, and enthusiasm;
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment;
  • Minimum 3+ years in pet food industry or FMCG sector;
  • Experience with distributors is a plus;
  • Willing to travel up to 75%;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Bachelor’s degree required; business degree preferred;
  • Native German, business English, intermediate writing and speaking skills;
  • Ability to commute regularly and write reports in English.
