Responsibilities

• Development of concepts and series solutions for individual parts and assemblies
• Developing technical solutions using Siemens NX CAD software or with the international development partner
• Optimization of technical solutions to meet deadline, cost and weight targets
• Development of customer-oriented, modular solutions
• Close cooperation with partners in passive safety, calculation and overall vehicle design
• Developing solutions for the efficient industrialization of components
• Leading meetings, representing component scopes and bringing about necessary decisions in the relevant committees
• Designing and documenting components in collaboration with internal colleagues or external service providers

Your profile

• Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering (focus on design), automotive engineering or a similar technical field of study with a focus on automotive engineering, design or body construction
• Relevant or several years of professional experience in the field of body shell construction
• Professional experience in component development/design in the passenger car/commercial vehicle sector
• Good knowledge of body construction, materials and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of the market or competition and relevant legal regulations
• User knowledge of Siemens NX or similar CAD environments
• Experience in the product development process
• Business fluent in German and English
• Team spirit, helpfulness and initiative
