Warehouse Manager

This is an exciting time for the right individual to join a global biotechnology company expanding its European manufacturing site in Bad Homburg, Germany. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a Warehouse Manager to help lead and support the day-to-day operations of their logistics team - a vital role in keeping innovation moving.

About the Company

For over 40 years, this pioneering biotech company has been at the forefront of scientific discovery, empowering researchers around the world with cutting-edge solutions. With deep roots in both biology and technology, they've earned global recognition for advancing research in life sciences, helping scientists unlock insights into cancer, neuroscience, agriculture, and more.

The Role

As Warehouse Manager, you'll play a hands-on leadership role across all warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and stockroom activities. You'll be responsible for ensuring internal processes and regulatory standards are met, while also coaching and supporting a team to meet performance targets. This is a role for someone who enjoys balancing structure with action-someone who leads by example and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee shipping processes: from packing and labeling to coordinating carriers and ensuring compliance with IATA and ATR regulations.
  • Lead receiving operations: ensuring accurate intake, inspection, and inventory of incoming materials.
  • Manage stockroom activities: including stock accuracy, kitting for manufacturing, and process improvements.
  • Train, support, and help develop team members across warehouse functions.
  • Monitor KPIs and contribute to ongoing efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams.

What They're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven supervisory or team leadership experience (at least 3 years).
  • Fluent in both German and English, with strong communication skills.
  • High school diploma (Hochschulreife) required.
  • Certification in IATA and ATR (can be completed within the first 6 months).
  • A team-oriented, hands-on leader with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

What's on Offer:

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits
  • A collaborative, mission-driven culture
  • The opportunity to grow with a globally respected biotech leader
  • Real ownership of your area-and the ability to make a tangible impact
  • A modern, expanding site in the heart of Bad Homburg, with a supportive team atmosphere

If you're ready to take your logistics and leadership skills to the next level, and do so in a company that's truly making a difference in science and health, then this could be the opportunity for you.
