Staff Frontend Engineer, Supply (m/f/d) - Hamburg

Location: We are flexible! Join us in Barcelona, Madrid, Hamburg or Berlin.

We are looking for a talented and motivated Staff Frontend Engineer to work on the Supply domain.

As a Staff Engineer, you will have a significant impact across the frontend chapter and the broader engineering organization. You will collaborate with teams of 6 to 8 engineers, shaping the technical vision and fostering alignment across the chapter. You’ll champion best practices, mentor engineers of all levels, and drive initiatives that elevate the technical bar for frontend development. Your influence will extend beyond team boundaries, contributing to company-wide architectural decisions and driving cultural and technical change.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

• Leadership and Domain Vision: Collaborate closely with Principal Engineers, Engineering Managers, and other Staff Engineers to define and execute the domain’s technical vision. Lead initiatives such as pairing sessions, architecture decisions, and knowledge-sharing to foster cross-team connections and elevate technical standards. Ensure that frontend architecture aligns with long-term goals and strategic objectives.
• Technical Expertise and Influence: Lead the design of scalable frontend systems, promoting modern practices like component-based architecture, accessibility, and performance optimization. Demonstrate deep expertise in frontend technologies and system architecture, making key technology decisions and managing technical backlogs. Mentor engineers and guide technical decisions to ensure systems meet scalability, performance, and maintainability requirements.
• Effective Communication and Alignment: Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align technical decisions with product goals and domain strategies.
• Balancing Goals and Innovation: Balance short-term objectives with long-term vision. Drive technical excellence, process improvements, and innovation while managing technical debt.
• Hiring and Talent Development: Support hiring and mentor team members, collaborating with managers to build a high-performing team aligned with the technical vision.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE...

To be successful in this role your tech stack must include a deep knowledge of:

• React (17+)
• Next.js (14+) - Projects with App Router and Pages Router
• ES2024 / TypeScript
• Testing Library

And it would be awesome if you had some exposure to:

• Build tools (Vite)
• React on the server (Server Components and Actions)
• E2E testing (Playwright)
• Automated versioning and releases (Semantic Release)
