Job Description

We're looking for aData Analytics Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of contextual advertising as we continue to expand globally.

By combining Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision our proprietary, Machine Learning-based technology provides a human-like understanding of the content of the web that finds the best context for each ad while providing unparalleled risk-mitigation capabilities that protect advertisers from showing their ads on pages that could be damaging for their brand. All of this, without relying on cookies or any other tracking mechanisms.
Every day, our teams develop new services that reach over 200 million users worldwide with fast response times to ensure that we deliver the best user experience. We're fully committed to the DevOps culture, where we provide the platform that our Software Developers and Data Scientists use to manage over 100 different microservices, pushing dozens of changes to production every day. All of this is built on top of Kubernetes in Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services.

Your Challenge
  • Design and implement robust data models to support complex ad campaign measurement and analysis.
  • Leverage your expertise in data warehouse architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and scalability.
  • Utilise dbt (Data Build Tool) to automate data transformation processes and maintain data quality.
  • Develop and maintain the semantic layer, acting as a single source of truth for business users to access and understand campaign data.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to ingest data from various sources (ad servers, DSPs, etc.).
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of information.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive data documentation.

Tech Stack
We have to support 120k requests per second running with ML models in production, answering within 10 milliseconds! We have this running in production with Python and GoLang microservices using datalakes, GCS, Redis, Kinesis or Kafka. All this is constantly deployed in GCP using Kubernetes and other kinds of production stacks. The current stack outputs 20 TB of daily data, making it ready to use for analytics and more with easy and low-latency access.
In the rest of the company, we also develop in Typescript for Nodejs and Scala making use of technologies like Kafka, Druid and MongoDB all over the Google Cloud Platform.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer or similar data-focused role
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and principles.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing data warehouse solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
  • In-depth knowledge of dbt and its capabilities in data transformation.
  • Familiarity with the concept of a semantic layer and its importance in data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
It would be a big plus if
  • Experience working in the ad tech industry
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
