A Day in the Life

The External Reporting EMEA team provides services for key financial processes, including statutory reporting, corporate tax, and audit coordination. Serving a wide range of countries in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, the team is expanding its scope. Success in this role requires in-depth knowledge of statutory reporting and corporate income tax returns, preferably aligned with various auditors and tax authorities' requirements, especially German regulations. The role demands a team player with a hands-on mentality, results orientation, quality focus, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities. Accuracy is essential.

This position is based in Meerbusch (DE) or Heerlen (NL) and is primarily remote, with occasional on-site meetings at Medtronic offices.

Responsibilities Include

1. Preparation of annual financial statements, audits, statutory filings, and tax returns for German companies and other jurisdictions.
2. Translating financial documents from US GAAP to HGB.
3. Coordinating work with colleagues, stakeholders, and service providers.
4. Accounting and reporting on corporate income tax for corporate purposes.
5. Preparing financial reports for local board meetings.

Required Knowledge And Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in auditing or accounting, preferably from a German university.
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or auditing, including German regulations.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
