Your future contribution

This is a unique opportunity to join Smoobu as our first Business Developer to help build and shape our Outbound Sales motion from the ground up. You’ll play a key role in our acquisition strategy by introducing vacation rental hosts to the benefits of using professional software like Smoobu.

If you’re a driven, people-first salesperson who enjoys building conversations from scratch, creating genuine value, and helping customers grow—this is your chance to make a real impact.

How you’ll add value
  • Proactively engage with vacation rental hosts through cold calling, email outreach, and other outbound channels to spark interest in Smoobu
  • Consistently meet sales and outreach targets, while keeping the hosts interest top of mind
  • Identify host needs and challenges by asking thoughtful, consultative questions
  • Help build awareness of Smoobu as a trusted solution for hosts new to professional tools
  • Provide feedback to marketing and product teams on host insights and potential opportunities
  • Be an ambassador for Smoobu—friendly, solution-focused, and genuinely helpful
You’ll be successful in this role if you
  • 2-3 years of experience in cold calling, outbound sales, or lead generation
  • Comfortable and confident speaking with new people, handling objections, and driving engaging conversations
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, tenacious, ambitious, and eager to exceed targets
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in German and English. Proficiency in Spanish, French, or Italian is a plus
  • A natural ability to build rapport, spark interest, along with a consultative mindset that seeks to understand needs before offering solutions
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while thriving in a team environment
  • Interest in the vacation rental, SaaS, or travel industry (Industry experience is a plus)
  • Willingness to pick up the phone and connect with vacation rental owners, enjoying sales conversations and seeing challenges as opportunities to grow
