Position: Principal Technical Support Engineer - Technical Project Manager at HERE Technologies

HERE Technologies is seeking a Principal Technical Support Engineer - Technical Project Manager responsible for delivering, adopting, and maintaining ongoing engagement of HERE’s technology solutions with customers. The role focuses on strategic accounts in Automotive, utilizing HERE products and services.

1. Collaborate with stakeholders and manage cross-functionally to drive complex, strategic customer engagements (e.g., large Automotive OEMs) ensuring successful delivery (product launches, projects).
2. Manage delivery throughout the engagement lifecycle, including release management and quality assurance activities such as error and release management.
3. Address issues systematically, coordinating across teams to ensure alignment, timely reporting, and actionable lessons learned.
4. Perform technical consulting assignments with customers.
5. Work with sales to complete RFQs and translate customer needs into requirements, products, and solutions.
6. Provide technical expertise across multiple domains.
7. Act as the main technical interface for customers, ensuring internal understanding of customer requirements.
8. Provide feedback to Sales, Product Marketing, and Product Management regarding current and future product requirements.
9. Travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally, including frequent visits to major OEMs in southern Germany.

Who are you?

This role requires expertise in proactive technical support, technical project management, leadership, and commercial awareness, including:

• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• 9+ years of relevant technical experience, including 2+ years in technical project management or customer-facing roles.
• Hands-on experience in software development and troubleshooting customer issues.
• Strong project management skills, preferably with PMI PMP certification.
• Excellent consultative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• A strong sense of ownership and the ability to establish trusted customer relationships.
• Understanding of Automotive infotainment, ADAS, in-vehicle, and cloud solutions.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
• German language skills are a plus.
