For the location in Manching, we are currently looking for a:

Hardware / Software Assurance Engineer (m / w / d)

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Discuss with the Airworthiness / Certification Authorities the Certification Baseline and their level of involvement.
• Monitor supplier development to ensure compliance with RTCA / DO-254 and RTCA / DO-178 standards, applicable CRIs, or guidelines.
• Control processes with traceability, validation, verification, supervise Requirements-Based Engineering, and oversee SEU (Single Event Upset) and equipment robustness.
• Prepare reviews with Airworthiness / Certification Authorities.
• Define the documentation required for each milestone of hardware and software development according to RTCA / DO-254 and RTCA / DO-178.
• Report on compliance to demonstrate alignment with criticality / safety requirements and project schedules.

Your Profile:

• University degree in engineering, aerospace, or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in configuration management, electrical engineering, or electronics.
• Experience in software and/or hardware development.
• Experience in requirements engineering.
• Knowledge of complex electronic hardware devices, such as ASICs, PLDs, and COTS components.
• Familiarity with standards like RTCA / DO-254 and RTCA / DO-178.
• Fluent in German and English, spoken and written.
• Self-reliant, systematic, and stress-resistant with the ability to work in an international team.
