Your BIG challenge as our Category Manager Primary Packaging – Rigid.

This is a key position within our Intersnack Procurement Organization, offering high visibility and the opportunity to collaborate closely with our dynamic & fast-growing Dutch management unit. After onboarding, you will be responsible for international purchasing activities of the Rigid Packaging category. The TCO (total cost of ownership) approach is essential, along with stakeholder management, especially with our management unit in Doetinchem. You will collaborate with colleagues in Procurement, Packaging Development, and Marketing. Success in this role requires cost improvement initiatives, risk management, portfolio standardization, and supply base simplification. The Category Manager reports to the Senior Category Manager Primary Packaging (based in Germany) and can be based in Zevenaar (NL) or Dusseldorf (DE).

Your responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with new and existing rigid suppliers.
2. Handling tactical and strategic sourcing for your category scope.
3. Communicating policy and strategy between Procurement and management units.
4. Acting as the expert for the packaging team regarding collaboration with procurement and suppliers.
5. Providing analytical support for strategy development and compliance tracking.
6. Leading supplier meetings/reviews based on KPIs.
7. Building strong relationships with stakeholders, especially the local management unit.
8. Achieving group objectives related to cost, quality, service, and innovation.
9. Managing a robust supplier base to meet procurement targets.
10. Implementing sustainability, compliance, and category strategies.
11. Ensuring supply security and handling local requisitions.
