The AI Startup Xayn develops Europe's leading sovereign Legal AI. The legally compliant and competent AI helps legal professionals to research legal issues, review, and draft legal documents. The GDPR-compliant Legal AI meets high professional and data protection requirements for lawyers (§ 203 Penal Code, § 43e Federal Lawyers' Act) and is certified according to ISO 27001, 9001, 27018, 27017, 42001, and BSI C5. The product version Beck-Noxtua is based on the exclusive data of Germany’s leading legal publisher and Germany’s largest business law firm.

Emerging from a 2017 research project by Dr. Leif-Nissen Lundbæk and Professor Dr.. Michael Huth at Oxford University and Imperial College London, the Berlin-based Legal-Tech company, formerly known as Xayn, boasts extensive experience in developing highly efficient GDPR-compliant AI solutions. Strategic partners, including Germany's leading legal publisher, the High-Performance Computing specialist, Germany's largest business law firm and co-initiator of the Legal AI Noxtua, as well as the world's largest law firm, have invested a total of € million in the German startup as part of its Series B funding round.

Your Mission

As an Agile Manager, you will play a key role in improving development efficiency, optimizing collaboration between teams, and ensuring agile processes align with our privacy-first approach. Your expertise will help our tech and product teams work smarter, iterate faster, and maintain a stable development velocity.

Your Team

The Tech team consists of around 10 individuals who work remotely or at the office in Berlin city center. Besides the development team, Xayn’s technical lead and an external consultant team handle various tasks related to providing Xayn’s development team with the necessary technical environment, ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of Xayn’s AI applications.

Your Responsibilities

1. Enhance development efficiency: Streamline agile processes to accelerate AI product releases
2. Improve team dynamics: Foster collaboration between developers, data scientists, and product teams
3. Support Tech Leads: Facilitate Scrum routines, process management, and relieve tech leadership from operational bottlenecks
4. Incident management optimization: Improve response times and efficiency in managing incidents
5. Scaling agile processes: Adapt methodologies to support company growth and multiple development teams

Requirements

1. Language skills: English (C2 level), German optional
2. Proven track record in Agile Transformation & Scaling in software development organizations, ideally through different stages of company evolution (Start-up, ScaleUp, Corporate)
3. Experience in restructuring teams, optimizing sprints, and improving meeting structures
4. Strong background in Scrum or Kanban in product-driven and data-focused environments
5. Hands-on expertise with agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Miro, Notion, etc.)
6. Working hours: Flexible working hours: Full-time (32-40h/week)
7. Vacation: 26 days + December 24th & 31st off
8. Hybrid work model: Work from home up to three days per week
