The Finance Director will oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations, strategic planning, and compliance within the designated region, aligning with Flint Group's global objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of the business and industry's financial dynamics, including cost structures, raw material fluctuations, and supply chain complexities. The position will collaborate closely with regional production, sales, and supply chain teams to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

  • Oversee financial reporting for legal entities in scope (DACH, NL, Iberia).
  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS/local GAAP (DACH).
  • Lead Month-End Closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
  • Lead annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance KPIs for operations.
  • Implement and monitor cost control initiatives, partnering with production managers on efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Optimize working capital management to enhance cash flow efficiency.
  • Provide financial insights for strategic decisions like pricing and new product investments.
  • Collaborate with TAX and VAT teams to ensure tax compliance and optimize tax strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with auditors for regulatory compliance.
  • Provide financial leadership to regional leadership, sales, and R&D teams.
  • Lead finance-related projects to improve efficiency and financial performance.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives like mergers and market expansion.
  • Lead and mentor the regional finance team, fostering continuous improvement and financial excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or Master's in Finance is a plus.
  • Proficiency with hands-on experience in Finance and Accounting.
  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years in financial leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in cost accounting, financial planning, and compliance within a production-based business.
  • Expertise in financial software and accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Hyperion Financial Management)
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
