A Snapshot of your day

As a Project Engineer / Service Delivery Engineer, you will be responsible for operational aspects of project delivery, improving financial efficiency and profitability through diligent contractual and commercial practices, and careful risk management. You will also support the Operational Team with contractual, aftersales, and warranty issues.

How you’ll make an impact:

1. Providing timely, accurate valuations, cost forecasts, and cash flows.
2. Financial control of contract variations supporting Operational Engineers.
3. Preparation of valuations, payment applications, and cost reconciliations.
4. Defending against excess project costs, including liquidated damages.
5. Maintaining good client relations and representing the company's interests in meetings.
6. Reviewing documentation such as contracts, bills of quantities, and drawings for accuracy and risks.
7. Attending site progress meetings as needed.
8. Recording contractual delays and preparing claims.
9. Liaising with departments to ensure proper payments and receivables.
10. Maintaining customer relationships for retention and growth.
11. Identifying additional customer requirements beyond scope.
12. Sharing knowledge to optimize solutions and costs.
13. Participating in cost reduction and sales initiatives.
14. Using NCR tools to manage non-conformance reports.
15. Managing maintenance and resource planning.
16. Controlling spare parts inventory.
17. Aligning asset management policies with organizational goals.
18. Coordinating with partners on asset-related topics.

What you bring:

• Proven experience in Contracts Management, ideally in the Electricity Industry.
• Familiarity with latest contract terms, NEC, FIDIC, etc.
• Experience in purchasing and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations, H&S legislation, and Risk Management.
• IT literacy, including MS Office and MS Project.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Qualified and experienced in Contract Management.
• Health & Safety qualification (desired).
• Membership in a professional body (desired).
