Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and self-motivated Technical Support Engineer to work with the Advanced Robotics team to improve overall system efficiencies through the use of advanced technologies. The ideal candidate is excited to learn new things and willing to work through the details to get things done. We are seeking candidates who possess a blend of technical and customer-facing skills to successfully support the Amazon Robotic Fulfillment Systems solution. This role requires flexibility, troubleshooting skills, creativity, people management skills, and drive. As part of this highly visible team, candidates will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with multiple international teams within Amazon to contribute to the continuous innovation of the Robotic Fulfillment System.

Key job responsibilities

The right candidate will be inspired and motivated to do the following on a daily basis:

  1. Support and foster a culture of inclusion.
  2. Manage large-scale technical projects with high attention to detail.
  3. Maintain and create policies, procedures, and processes as needed.
  4. Proactively identify opportunities for long-term and repeatable solutions.
  5. Participate in hiring, training, and development of team members.
  6. Engage in network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration across various software and hardware environments.
  7. Support and maintain Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems proactively.
  8. Take responsibility for on-call duties in rotation with team members.
  9. Document known solutions in knowledge base articles.
  10. Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous IT improvements.
Grundqualifikationen
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of troubleshooting experience in a multi-user, high-availability environment.
  • Experience managing network systems (e.g., DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
  • At least 2 years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation experience.
  • Experience managing and supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
  • Ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on complex system issues.
  • Proven experience supporting major or critical applications and systems as a lead technician.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

Preferred qualifications are not required but are a plus:

  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of AWS or other cloud technologies.
  • Experience with change management processes.
  • Unix/Python Shell Scripting skills.
  • Experience in fulfillment or logistics environments.
  • Hardware and solutions troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of networking and IT product management.
