Technical Director Energy (m/f/d)

We are seeking a Technical Director to lead our Energy Team in Germany.

As Technical Director Energy, you will lead our energy infrastructure activities in Germany. Your key responsibilities include developing and supporting our energy business offerings, providing technical leadership, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with local clients. You will be based in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Munich, or Frankfurt am Main, with flexible, partly remote work arrangements.

This role offers you:
  1. Setting the vision and priorities for Arup’s Energy Business Plan in Germany.
  2. Driving growth and market recognition of Arup’s Energy Business in Germany.
  3. Expanding our work on energy projects across existing and new clients, focusing on Transmission System Operators.
  4. Developing new service pillars, such as Renewable Energy Advisory, Technical Due Diligence, Project Management, and Hydrogen.
  5. Contributing to Advisory and Engineering Design Services.
  6. Providing technical leadership on projects involving power transmission, electricity interconnectors, green hydrogen, or geothermal energy.
  7. Promoting knowledge sharing across Europe.
Your ideal profile:

  2. 20+ years of experience in energy projects with a strong engineering background.
  3. 10+ years of team leadership in the energy sector.
  4. Deep knowledge of the German energy market and a strong network within it.
