Job Description: Senior Exploration Geologist

Based in the Hannover area, we are seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist to join our German Geosciences team. The role involves integrating, interpreting, and assessing subsurface data to develop comprehensive knowledge of assets across the German portfolio and to identify growth opportunities.

What you will do

• Deliver high-quality subsurface geological evaluations, including correlations, mapping, and depositional environment analysis, to generate drilling prospects.
• Develop knowledge of German Exploration licences to identify new opportunities and contribute to exploration plans.
• Conduct detailed prospect analysis, volumetrics, and risk assessments.
• Support production assets in generating development opportunities.
• Recommend drilling opportunities aligned with company strategy and monitor operations.
• Participate in technical reviews, partner meetings, and mentor junior staff.
• Evaluate and bid for farm-in or business development opportunities in Europe.
• Assess open acreage and recommend applications for new exploration licences.

What you will bring

• Geoscience degree, preferably with a Master's.
• 10+ years of industry experience with strong geology expertise.
• Experience in exploration and development projects.
• Knowledge in structural geology, reservoir characterization, and seismic interpretation.
• Proficiency in English; German language skills are a strong plus.
• International experience, especially in German basins, is preferred.
• A team player with good communication skills, initiative, and creativity.
