Responsibilities:
- Establish and standardize trends analysis processes for complex, text-rich, and voluminous datasets containing information on product quality issues occurring in the market.
- Act as European liaison for a new IT system aimed at retaining recommendations, analyses, and supporting data for managing inactive/active safety-related defect investigations.
- Monitor and analyze internal data sources (e.g., PIR accident reports, government complaints, warranty claims, Techline cases, Technical Service Bulletins) to identify emerging vehicle safety issues.
- Monitor and analyze external data sources (e.g., VOQs, competitor recalls, government investigations) to identify emerging vehicle safety issues.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to formulate recommendations for opening vehicle safety-related investigations, knowledge discovery, and proactive forecasting.
- Coordinate communication between the Data Review Committee and the Technical Review Committee on in-process proposals.
- Monitor new safety-related matters and industry trends, advising ESO leadership on best practices and potential risks.
- Innovate new methods of trends analysis and problem-solving based on industry and competitor best practices.
- Collaborate with departments such as finance, engineering, legal, and CA to resolve data integrity issues and recommend improvements.
- Present findings to the Data Review Board.
About you:
- University degree in a technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality or Safety within the Automotive Industry.
- General automotive technical knowledge (e.g., body, chassis, brakes, electrical, safety systems).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when analyzing large volumes of data.
- Ability to judge independently and understand the impact of various factors and trends on business decisions.
- Aptitude for employing IT systems for in-depth analysis, including statistical quality analysis.
- Strong stakeholder presentation and management skills.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, multicultural, result-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English.
