We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our expansion efforts in Europe.

What You Will Do

Role:

• Drive growth and success of Molex in the European market, working closely with Sales and Product Management to develop and execute strategic plans to expand our market presence and increase sales of Industrial Automation solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales Europe, responsible for Industrial Accounts, to promote Molex Industrial Solutions in target segments; travel across Europe is required for business development and support.
  • Become a subject matter expert, demonstrate the value of our solutions, and provide consultative selling through proposals and presentations, both in person and digitally.
  • Understand target customer profiles, applications, needs, and SWOT analysis; stay informed about the business landscape in your region.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments in your region and accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion, including new market segments or third-party solutions, contributing to growth and margin improvement.
  • Apply economic and principle-based management in developing new business, leveraging team collaboration.
  • Align product management with customer expectations, develop product roadmaps, and position Molex as a preferred supplier.
  • Prepare reports, market insights, and forecasts for strategic decision-making.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues to enhance the competitive advantage of the Industrial Solutions Business Unit (ISBU).

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Electro-Mechanical higher education
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proven Business Development Manager experience
  • Deep understanding of Industrial Ethernet, Sensors, Actuators, and Automation architecture
  • Knowledge of Industrial Network Interface Cards, Communication Modules, and Switches
  • Basic understanding of SDKs and licensing models

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in Material Handling, Automotive/Robotics, or System Integration markets
  • Project management skills, including creating and managing specifications
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety standards (SIL3, IEC 61508, ISO 13849-1) and safety certification (TÜV Rheinland)
