As a Product Owner (f/m/d) Mechanical Engineering Transformers at Siemens Energy, you are a major part of our mission “connecting efficient factories”. Within a global and distributed development team, you are responsible to develop software components and to define methods and SW architectural concepts for global mechanical engineering tools. You ensure the development and building of the most uniform and standardized components in an agile way, providing new sustainable engineering software solutions promptly while minimizing operational costs. Your expertise will also support non-standard functional requirements from end-customers. Your work contributes to sustainable software development aligned with Siemens Energy guidelines such as cybersecurity, SE IT agile, and modern development standards. These results will strengthen Siemens Energy's competitiveness by enabling more efficient engineering at the sites.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Define guidelines for the development of Transformer software tools and actively shape their development
  • Analyze, rate, and estimate business/user requirements and design solutions with stakeholders and project teams
  • Hand over and maintain software components for in-house operation at transformer production sites and provide user support
  • Improve development methods and processes within a multicultural agile team
  • Collaborate with teams across departments and sites internationally
  • Contribute to Siemens Energy’s transformer business through quality, efficiency, and sustainability in digitalization and tool development
What You Bring
  • Master’s degree in computer science, physics, electrical or mechanical engineering, or software engineering
  • Extensive experience in developing mechanical/electromagnetic software components and applying them to non-standard customer requests
  • Knowledge of transformer portfolio, electrical/mechanical design processes, rules, and manufacturing technologies
  • Proficiency in English and willingness to travel internationally
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and Scaled Agile Framework preferred
  • Project management and team leadership experience
  • Experience with software development tools, GIT workflows, CI/CD
  • Understanding of software architecture, microservices, object-oriented programming, C++ or C#
