What you can expect

• Develop and maintain web applications / APIs (REST, GraphQL) within architectural, security, and code quality guidelines, using PHP, Laravel and PhpUnit
• Create Technical Concepts and PoC as basis for further project estimations, maintenance of technical documentation of projects
• Maintain and implement Docker-based hosting environments in the Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) by using and improving our automated toolset
• Build and orchestrate automated CI/CD pipelines, based on Gitlab, Terraform and Docker
• Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
• Use AI companions, like Github Copilot, ChatGPT, Review Bot and a set of internal AI tools
• Ensure the highest quality of software for yourself and the team by actively engaging in peer code reviews
• Design, improve and automate our infrastructure for development teams

What we'd love to see

• 5+ years of practical experience in commercial projects
• A college or university degree in an IT-related field or similar education
• Very strong technical knowledge of PHP, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and databases (relational and document-based)
• Experience with bash scripts and Python will be a plus
• Good experience with Docker, understanding of cloud-based infrastructures such as AWS
• Expertise with DevOps tools, technologies, designing and improving CI/CD pipelines
• Familiar with Linux-based systems, like Debian, their secure provisioning and maintenance
• Experience with automation tools for testing and infrastructure provisioning
• Familiar with agile project management processes, like Scrum or Kanban
• Strong English skills are a must-have
• Good German skills will be a plus as well
