Job Summary:

The Field Service Representative maintains the integrity of the CSA registered mark by conducting factory inspections and ensuring ongoing conformity of products bearing the CSA Mark.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct factory inspections at CSA authorized factories (remote and on-site).
• Select representative product samples to audit; determine if samples comply with all applicable standards and certification reports; review quality control and testing documentation.
• Prepare Factory Inspection Reports (FIR), Initial Factory Evaluation (IFE) reports, and consumer product evaluation reports to document findings according to procedures and work instructions.
• Review previous FIRs to verify corrections of deviations; determine satisfactory corrective actions and timelines; decide if non-compliance warrants shipment stops, re-investigation, or removal of CSA mark, and take appropriate actions.
• Maintain contact with clients through follow-ups, providing information, and responding to inquiries; update clients on new services and assist with record changes (address, company name, etc.).

Candidate Requirements:

• Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering degree or Associate's Degree
• Licensed Electrician with related experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 5-7 years’ industry-related experience (preferred)
• Ability to work remotely and independently (home office)
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test data
• Proficient in computer skills (word processing, email)
• Experience with calibrated measurement instruments, high voltage test equipment, hand tools
• Ability to manage multiple inspections and adapt to changing schedules with supervision
• Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and procedures related to factory inspections
• Fluent in German and English (oral and written); knowledge of additional European languages (French or Italian) is a plus
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including short-notice trips
